LIMPOPO WATER LEVELS:
Vehicle crossing at Pont Drift Border Post will be possible, depending on the water level of the Limpopo. The only way across at Pont Drift would then be by a cable car that runs on a cable strung across the river.
The Cable car was washed away a couple of years ago, but was subsequently repaired.
The cable car which is only for people and bikes over the river costs BWP65 per way and carries 2-3 people and BWP125.00 per load per crossing for luggage. (Jun-2020).
Reportedly, the Limpopo was running strongly in February 2015, and there was no bridge, so crossings couldn't be done by vehicle.
