Amboseli National Park was formerly known as the Maasai Amboseli Game Reserve is located in 240km southeast from the capital city Nairobi, it is the second most popular national park in Kenya after Maasai Mara National Reserve. It covers an area of 39 206 hectares. It offers one of the best wildlife-viewing experience in the world with 400 species of birds including water birds, pelicans, kingfishers, crakes, hammerkop and 47 types of raptor.
